       Generalized Anxiety Disorder ( GAD ) is characterized by excessive worry and tension about everyday event for no obvious reason.          Generalized Anxiety Disorder  is an exaggerated anxiety that gets out of control.      Generalized Anxiety Disorder is estimated to affect 20-30% of population in Nigeria and 3.1% of the U.S population. Persistent Depressive Disorder ( PDD ) also known as " Dysthymia " is a long term form of depression in which a person's mood is regularly low. It is a form of chronic depression that interferes with an individuals daily life, work, school and relationship.        The word " Dysthymia " comes from a Greek roots meaning" ill-humour ".  PDD  is a combination of " Dysthymia " and " Chronic Major Depressive Disorder ".  PDD  occurs at least 2 years in an adult and at least 1 year in children and teens. PDD is very common and can happen to any one at any age.     When someone experiences intense feeling of sadness for more than 2 weeks, then they may be experiencing a mood disorder know as  Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)     Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) also known as Clinical Depression or Unipolar Depression is a mood disorder that interferes with a persons daily life.
